Peltoriemuja
Minulla on kuntokuuri päällä. Rapakunto nääs. Koirien kunto kohenee samalla kun lenkkeillään 4-8 kilometriä päivittäin. Paso on totutettu kävelemään valtatietä pitkin (tai no, ei nyt ihan valtatie ). Se kulkee äitinsä edellä suht lyhyellä taluttimella. Näin siksi, että pysymme kapean tien reunassa kun autoja tulee edestä ja takaa. Hyvin poika pysyy tien laidassa. Olen alun perin opettanut käskyn "reunaan". Stressaavaa tuo toki vasta 7 kuukautta vanhalle pennulle on, mutta niin on elämäkin. Teemme lenkkejä paikkoihin , joissa ennen emme ole olleet, ja Paso ilmaisee outoja asioita; kuten roskisten edessä olevia pusseja, tielle katkottuja kuusia, ja outoja postilaatikkorivejä. Ilmaisu on ÖÖÖÖÖÖÖÖÖÖRRRRR, ja pieni väistö. Sitten jatketaan.
Tänään revittiin ilo irti pakkasesta. Otin Verrari-potkurini ja lähdin viilettämään tuohon naapurin pellolle. Hyvin luisti ja kovaa meni. Koirat olivat molemmat aivan läkähdyksissä - saivat kerrankin pinkoa minkä kintuista lähti. Ei se hanki ihan kantanut minua, joten paluu pellolta kävi hieman hitaammin. Istuin kuvaamassa Verrarin penkillä, ja nuo pahukset - äiti ja poika -  pyörivät siinä liian lähellä. No, joku otos kuitenkin tuli.

Excercising
I'm not in a very good condition, so I decided to do something about it. Twice a week I go swimming and running in a swimming hall. Both GSDs and me go for a walk every day for 4 to 8 kilometers. No matter what kind of  weather is outside. Both dogs walk nicely without pulling on the right side of " highways". Paso in front, and Magi behind him. No problem how many cars pass us from front or behind. We try to find local roads where we have not been before. Paso marks every different post box rows, or garbage bags left aside the box by murmuring ÖÖÖÖÖÖRRRR. That's it. Then we continue, because I do nothing, just walk.
Spring should be here shortly, but no. This morning was freezing, - 14 degrees Celsius. The good point was that we had + degrees in few days, and so the snow on the field was like steel. I took my red "Verrari",  and off we went downhill with full speed.  Both dogs run like bullets, and had really fun. Of course I took the camera with me, but dogs were mostly playing too near . Difficult to take pics.

Paso on päässyt hieman helpommalla nyt viime viikkoina, kun olemme keskittyneet saalisvietin auki saamiseen. On se kumma, että kotona saalistetaan palloja, mutta heti kun mennään halliin, tunneoppiminen paukkaa päälle. " Hei, täällä saa ruokaa!" Minun sormet ei todellakaan kestä enää kauan tutittamista, vaikka Paso toimiikin ruualla parhaiten. Olen siirtynyt pikku hiljaa jäävien liikkeiden opetteluun. Käskyllä "istu" ( no mikäs muuten ) jätän koiran istumaan ja peruutan selkä edellä noin 10 - 15  askelta. Ihan kivasti tämä 7 kuinen pentunen pysyy istumassa. Maahan-liikkeen teen samalla tavalla. Tässä Paso tuppaa joskus nousemaan, ennen kuin ehdin sen sivulle. Ruokapalkka tassujen väliin on vielä käytössä tässäkin.
" Käskyt ", joita Paso parhaiten noudattaa, kuuluvat: " mennään syömään ruokaa ! ",  " mennään ruokkimaan kissat ! " ja " mennään kaapille ottamaan korva !  " . Selvyyden vuoksi; kyseessä on siankorva, ei täällä muita korvia kaapeissa loju.

Obedience
During the past weeks we haven't done much. I  have practiced rewarding him with a ball. Paso chases the ball at home, but in our training hall indoors, he thinks that this is the restaurant for food. My fingers do not last much longer, they shorten all the time. He grabs the food so eagerly, that at least one of my fingers goes with the food. Auts. Bandage is now in my right hand.
We have started to train "sit " , so that Paso stays sitting and I back about 10 to 15  steps, and return on his left side. That goes well. Same thing with "down". He sometimes would like to get up before I reach his side. In that case I shorten the distance, so he really stays down, and do not reward him.
The very best commands, which Paso never misses, and obeys in a sec are: " Let's go inside to eat !" , "let's go and feed the cats ! ", and inside the house " you want a smoked pig's ear ?" .

Ovi meni lukkoon, minä jäin ulkopuolelle , yöpuvussa ja paljain jaloin

Monta kertaa on käynyt mielessä että mitäs jos ovi menee lukkoon, ja minä jään ulos. Muutama päivä sitten se tapahtui. Paso pyysi pisille klo 4.30 yöllä. Ajattelin että päästän sen takaterassilta, jossa on katos. Minä menin oven ulkopuolelle yöpuvussa ja paljain jaloin Pason perässä. Hups, koira kääntyikin minua kohti ja hyppäsi syliin. Tsädäm ! Takanani ollut ovi meni lukkoon. Mietin hetken että mitäs nyt. Talon ympärillä on katolta pudotetut lumivallit, korkeat kuin Himalaja. Ei siinä muu auttanut kuin lähteä kinosten harjalla keikkuen hakemaan vara-avainta kissalasta. Hitsit kun oli liukasta. Kävi mielessä että olisipa ollut edes sukat jalassa, muusta vaatetuksesta puhumattakaan. Siinä me taapersimme - Pasolla ei ollut minkään sortin ongelmia - minä taasen pelkäsin katkaisevani jalkani. Olisinpa ollut näky ! Onneksi koiruli ei halunnut leikkiä, olisi nimittäin tullut vähän sanomista. Paluumatka etuoven kautta oli jo helpompi, mutta lumi pisteli jalkapohjissa kuin fakiirin neulat. Pikkasen kävin kuumana. Onneksi sen aamuiset treenit peruuntuivat. En ihan ollut koiran motivointituulella. Eihän Paso tosin ymmärtänyt hellyydenosoituksensa seurauksia. Illalla asia jo nauratti.

Paso and I were left outside, he slammed the door shut 

I have been thinking from time to time that what should, I do if I was left outside during the winter with no keys, and doors locked. Well, in this week it happened. Paso wanted to go for a pee at 4.30 am. I thought it was more convenient for me to let him out from backside of the house. There is a roof above the terrace. I had my nightgown on, and was on bare feet. In winter, with lots of snow! Paso went out, but turned around and leaped in my lap. I was pushed against the door, and it just slammed shut. Nice, what to do ? Luckily I have a spare key in another building (in the cat house ). The biggest problem was that snow has been pulled down from roofs, and the snow piles were high as Himalaya, surrounding the whole house. There was no other way than start climbing on those snow mountains. I can tell that it was very, very slippery with bare foot. What a sight I must have been ! I just wished that I had taken at least socks on my frozen feet :), not to mention other clothes. Paso dis not mind climbing, and I was afraid to break my legs. After surviving this extreme sports, I got the spare key. Returning was not that difficult, I could use a small road on my yard. The ice and snow was like needles under my feet! I could not find any humor on that occasion, but Paso could not know what chain reaction he caused. In the evening I only laughed for that. 
Now I have keys in every pocket ;)
